Volunteer at a Community Event
Throughout the year, United Way hosts major signature events and seasonal donation drives that keep our community moving forward. These high-energy events depend entirely on volunteers like you.

Community Impact Events: From local charity tournaments and regional festivals to neighborhood clean-up days, help us manage event logistics, welcome guests, and keep operations running smoothly.

Seasonal Drives and Sorting: Lend a hand collecting, sorting, and distributing essential items during our critical annual drives, such as school supply collections, winter coat drives, and holiday food distributions.

Community Investment Cycle
The United Way of Greater Oswego County invites you to participate in the Community Investment Cycle for Program Funding. This process offers an opportunity to learn more about our member agencies and make critical decisions on how the funds raised in our annual campaign will be invested in community programs.
All agencies requesting funding are divided into five panels, each representing a specific community issue. As a volunteer, you will work on one of the five panels, responsible for helping the United Way determine the allocation of funds for a two-year cycle. Volunteers are asked to invest about 15 hours of their time throughout the process until completion.
Participating in this process is a great way to learn about the United Way and give back to the community through volunteerism. If you would like to volunteer for a panel, please email your contact information to patrick@oswegounitedway.org.
